Snapdeal owned digital payments platform FreeCharge announced the appointment of Fareed Jawad as its Principal Product Architect and Vice President of payments. At FreeCharge Jawad will be responsible to build payments technologies and he will also lead the company’s efforts in building technologies for solving unique payment-related issues in the country.
Speaking on Jawad’s appointment, Govind Rajan, COO, Freecharge, said, “Fareed’s appointment reaffirms Freecharge’s commitment to hiring the industry’s best talent. Prior to his appointment at Freecharge, Jawad served as Principal Product Architect at Amazon India, where he was responsible for building the core payment processing infrastructure for the organization. Before joining Amazon, he was with Flipkart as Director – Product Management and was part of the core team that launched PayZippy.
