Travel integration plans for 2016: Pulkit Ahuja, Cabsguru


Speaking exclusively to IndianMediaBook, Pulkit Ahuja, Co-founder, Cabsguru, said, “After Cabsguru successfully aggregated all the major first level cab providers, Intercity Cabs was the next step in the product’s evolution. After our tie-up with ORIX for intercity bookings fulfillment, we are expecting to launch the intercity services on the Cabsguru app by this month end.”
In December 2015, Cabsguru raised USD 200,000 as angel funding, which are being used to bring further innovation into the product, team building and expansion into hitherto uncharted cities.

With Cabsguru foraying into complete road travel ecosystem, it plans to expand aggressively both vertically in terms of cities covered per service and horizontally in terms of number of services covered. Being a part of niche market, the brand sees huge space for organic growth and is trying its level best to face trials.
Cabsguru tied up with Jugnoo earlier this month to aggregate autos on the Cabsguru App as well as a part of last mile services for its users. “The tie-up Jugnoo was done in view of the customers feedback which showed their interest in hyper-local travel options. Starting next month, Cabsguru users will be able to book Jugnoo autos in 22 Indian cities from the cabsguru cab comparison page itself.” said Ahuja
ORIX recently added a new vertical for Self Drive Cars under the brand MyChoize Self Drive Cars in Delhi-NCR. It is currently present in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. There are further expansion plans of reaching out to cities such as Hyderabad, Bangalore and Kolkata. Users would also be able to book MyChoize Self Drive Cars on the Cabsguru app for all the cities they are present in.
Marketing and Social Media
Cabsguru has more than one hundred and fifty thousand users, all of which have been acquired organically without a single penny being spent on marketing. “Our Facebook page just has 600 odd followers while our app users are 250 times Facebook followers. This is a =n indication of the fact that how strongly our users share and market the app through their word of mouth.” Added, Ahuja
