Startup of the Week: Vishesh Goel’s FitMeIn

While working with Ernst and Young, Goel realised that managing work with workouts was nothing less than a nightmare. He kept switching from one gym to the other and tired of swinging from one workout session to the other. Thus, the idea of FitMeIn came into existence.
Speaking about the health and fitness segment, Vishesh Goel, Founder, FitMeIn, said, “Health and fitness is a part of everyday life. Every person in the country desires fitness irrespective of his/ her age, gender and class. This is why fitness care industry has immense scope for growth in India because it seeks to target ‘all’ and not ‘some’ or a ‘few’. However, gauging the success of the fitness care industry is quite difficult at the moment for it is still emerging and has lots more to achieve in the coming future.”
The journey
In June 2015, FitMeIn started its journey and in August the proof was sanctioned. Later in September 2015, it has finally received its funding. The venture launched its mobile app in October 2015 and as a result 70 per cent traffic has shifted to the mobile services.
It is an online fitness platform which came with its anytime anywhere option and appealed to the masses. It allows anytime access to 350+ premium fitness studios and gyms across Delhi/NCR providing 100+ different workouts every day.
The team FitMeIn consist of 13 young members. 3 of the founders of FitMeIn have equally and carefully distributed work amongst themselves. While one works on strategy, the second spends time on operations and the department of technology is led by the third.
Fitme1The mechanism
Goel informed that FitMeIn shares a genial relationship with all its partners. It follows different and varied contracts depending on different categories.
“Our aim is to make our customers happy in every way we can possibly think of. We try and make our customers fitness experience with us healthier by providing them with valued added services like diet tips, personal training sessions and etc”, added Goel.
Virtual coins known as FitCoins are added to a FitMeIn member’s account once he/ she registers with us. FitCoins can be spent such as cash by our members on whichever fitness option they would want to invest in. The membership fees is Rs. 1299 for 15 days and Rs. 2499 for a month.
The vision
At present FitMeIn is focused towards strengthening and deepening relationship with its suppliers and partners. As of now, the venture is primarily focusing on metros and after successful launch in Delhi/NCR, it is now planning to expand its reach to the people of Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore this year.
“In the next two years, we sense the dawn of fitness revolution approaching. We hope, FitMeIn takes charge as the muse, leading, guiding and enabling people in achieving their fitness goals”, concluded Goel.
