Wadhwa will be competing with 11 other Asian CEO’s including Rick L.Tsai – Chunghwa Telecom, Albern Murty – Digi, Arti Ots – JSC Kcell, Talal Said Al Mamari – Omantel, Alexander Rusli – Indosat Ooredoo, Syarif Syarial Ahmad-TELIN, Ririek Adriansyah-Telkomsel, Karim Khoja – Roshan TDCA, Dileepa Wijesundera – Sri LankaTelecom, Arif al Islam – Summit Communications Limited and Vinod Kumar – Tata Communications Group.
There are other categories such as Best Brand Campaign, Best Enterprise Service, Best SME Service, Best Customer Care: Business, Best Customer Care: Consumer, Best Emerging Market Initiative, The Innovation Award, Operator of the Year, Project of the Year, The Green Technology Award, The Social Contribution Award, Vendor Initiative of the Year, Wholesale Operator of the Year, The Connected Asia Award and Satellite Operator of the Year will also be awarded.
The award ceremony will be held at Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel in Singpore on 1st June, while the shortlist will be announced on 18th April. Launched in 2011, the Asia Communication Awards recognise outstanding performance and innovation from leading Asian telecoms carriers, service providers, operators and vendors.
